Fours Class curriculum

Our Four year old class is a mixed age group where the focus is kindergarten readiness. These concepts, along with the educational aspects, include things like teaching the children to be responsible for their own belongings and play responsibly with the things in their classrooms. Kindergarten concepts like writing, recognizing names and site words, math skills, and social skills. Our teachers encourage the children to "use their words" to talk to someone when there is a conflict and models how to do so. They engage in show and tell weekly. We have really seen the older children flourish by helping the younger children become more independent!
